Tackling food system challenges with innovative teaching and learning approaches

IFSTAL is holding a showcase event to share innovative teaching and learning approaches to tackle food system challenges on 27 September in Oxford.

IFSTAL (Innovative Food Systems Teaching and Learning) brings together leading academic minds in food systems thinking with the workplace to create an interdisciplinary, workplace-orientated model to build the community of future researchers, practitioners, campaigners and advocates for change: ‘food system analysts’.

They are hosting a showcase event on 27 September in Oxford where participants can share and discuss experiences of a multi-institution collaboration for interdisciplinary teaching and learning.

The day will cover the broad IFSTAL themes of systems thinking, innovative teaching and learning, and graduate attributes and employability. There will be interactive workshops on how to apply IFSTAL to your context.

Speakers include: John Ingram (University of Oxford), Alan Hayes (IGD), Angela Wright (Compassion in World Farming), Owen Gower (UK Council for Graduate Education), Tim Lang (City, University of London), Lucy Foster (Defra) and Matt Jennings (Office for Students).
