Textile Innovation Network event, 14 March, Edinburgh
Join Textiles Scotland for the Textiles Innovation Network 2019: a day of speed pitching innovation opportunities and idea generation.
Following on from a sell-out innovation event in 2015, Textiles Scotland successfully supported nine textile innovation projects.¬†¬† The organisation aims to unlock further potential from within the industry by creating the ‘Textile Innovation Network’.
The Scottish textile industry has an abundance of creators and innovators and Textiles Scotland has the power to unite them with business support service providers and funders.
The organisation is looking for participants who are interested in:
- process innovation
- product innovation
- product diversification
- digitalisation
- data
This event is run by Textiles Scotland and is sponsored by the Defence and Security Accelerator (DASA).  At this event delegates will have the opportunity to pitch ideas, to meet potential funders and to meet DASA, hear about what they do and how they might be able to fund ideas.
Textiles Scotland will be supported on the day by Innovate UK, Knowledge Transfer Network, Interface and Scottish Enterprise.  Strathyclyde University and Edinburgh University will provide the most up to date academic research in textiles, data, and digitalisation.
Tickets are open to anyone from the Scottish textile industry (companies large and small), and anyone in Scotland with an interest in innovation and the ability to think outside the box.  Delegates from other industries that can see the opportunities in cross-sector innovation are also welcome to attend.
Discounted tickets are available to Textiles Scotland members.
