UK Steel Innovation Day 2018
UK Steel is hosting an innovation day on 27th September at the Science Museum in London.
The event shall showcase the high level of technical innovation taking place in the steel industry, as well as the dynamic people driving the sector forward and the opportunities the sector represents throughout the supply chain. It shall also present a number of landmark projects from the sector. UK Steel Innovation Day is a great opportunity to hear from the leading innovators from the steel industry and learn how R&D can unlock the potential for a sustainable steel industry.
Chris McDonald, CEO of the Materials Processing Institute, will chair the day, which also includes speakers from major UK steel producers, Siemens, Cambridge University and Green Alliance. Robert Stacey, Commercial Director of the Heathrow Expansion, will provide the keynote speech. Sessions throughout the day will focus on topics ranging from additive manufacturing, to reducing carbon emissions and industrial digitalisation in the steel industry. The event shall be followed by networking drinks.
