Andrew Hooley

As Knowledge Transfer Manager – Aviation at IUK Business Connect, Andrew is focused on supporting the aviation sector to develop and scale emerging technologies.

He has a decade of experience in transport innovation and is recognised for establishing programs which actively bring sectors together to solve transport’s biggest challenges, while creating industry growth opportunities across the international ecosystem.

Prior to joining Innovate UK, Andrew led Future Mobility Strategy and Engagement at Transport for NSW – working across government, industry and academia to explore innovative technologies, develop transition strategies, and enable real world deployment into integrated transport networks.

During this time he led programs including world first automated vehicle trials, state wide zero emission bus and hydrogen in transport strategies, the operational delivery of On Demand service models, and agile programs to establish government policy vision for the accelerated adoption of electric aviation (UAV, AAM, RAM).
