Chloe Walker Harrison

I am Head of the Strategic Portfolio Office at Innovate UK Business Connect. We work to empower impactful positive change through effective, consistent and valued project and portfolio management practices. We collaborate across teams to support and deliver effective project and portfolio management expertise, tools and processes in order to achieve our strategic goals.

I lead a team of professional project managers supporting projects across the organisation. I take a keen interest in our strategic alignment with Innovate UK’s Plan for Action and am working to drive demonstrable impact across our activities.

I’ve previously been the Head of Stakeholder Relationships and have extensive experience building relationships across government, Parliament, industry and the public sector. I was responsible for developing and maintaining strategic and durable relationships with a multitude of stakeholders.

Previously a Knowledge Transfer Manager for Projects, I established Innovate UK Business Connect’s project closure and review, as well as best practice support for Innovation Networks. I was the Programme Manager for the Cyber Security Academic Startup Accelerator Programme (CyberASAP), and supported various other projects including Global Alliance Africa and Sustainable Innovation Fund activities, and as Stakeholder Engagement Manager for the Smart Specialisation Hub.

Prior to joining Innovate UK Business Connect, I spent eight years as Chief of Staff for a Member of Parliament in the House of Commons. I have varied experience across campaigns, policy, strategy, briefing, project management, communications, speech writing, influencing, lobbying, consultation and event management with national and local government.
