Dhinisa Patel

I am a Knowledge Transfer Manager in Advanced Materials, working within the Materials and Manufacturing team, part of our Net Zero & Sustainable Industries Directorate. My focus is on helping organisations navigate technical challenges, identify collaboration opportunities, and connect with the right partners and funding to bring new material innovations to market.

My PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Sheffield focused on the development of novel high-entropy alloys for nuclear fusion applications. I then continued into postdoctoral research, where I expanded my work on materials for fusion, including advanced alloys designed for extreme environments. After, I undertook postdoctoral work in PEMD (Power Electronics, Machines & Drives), developing conductive alloys and exploring dielectric materials to support next-generation electronic and energy-conversion systems.

Currently I am working on the National Materials Innovation Programme and Materials for Demanding Environments.
