Dr Dawn Geatches

My main aim is to increase the awareness of the use of mathematical sciences throughout all sectors of our society, from statistics (think of all those Covid stats), to networks (ever wondered how to optimise a delivery route?), to algebra, logic and calculus (these form the foundations of programming languages).

My background in maths and science, experience of communicating impact and genuine interest and curiosity about the work of others, mean I would like to listen and learn how connecting you with a fellow mathematical sciences practitioner might be beneficial to all involved. And by ‘practitioner’ I mean a maths person in academia, industry, public bodies, government agencies, charities, etc. I am particularly keen to build a diverse and inclusive network of maths practitioners – maths is everywhere and is for everyone!!
