Gabriela Juarez Martinez
Knowledge Transfer Manager - Pharma & MedTech
I am a Knowledge Transfer Manager in the Health team, focusing on antimicrobial resistance (AMR), infectious diseases and global health. This activity covers therapeutics, vaccines, diagnostics and digital tools.
Most of my work crosses over the animal and environmental sectors and is relevant at an international level, where I work with the Department of Health and Social Care, Innovate UK, Science and Innovation Network, and the Department of International Trade among others. I have led international missions to China, Colombia, Germany and Mexico.
I represent Innovate UK Business Connect Health in the East of England and work closely with AHSNs, EENs Catapults and other organisations and accelerators in the region.
I have a background in biomedical sciences and bioelectronics. I am a former Enterprise Fellow of the RSE which allowed me to found a scientific instrumentation company which I ran for 10 years achieving international sales in 24 countries.
I am also part of the advisory board of the National Centre for Healthcare Photonics, as well as some health accelerators in the East of England.
Get in touch if you are an R&D company looking to find partners to help develop your ideas and explore funding opportunities, especially (but not exclusively) to support global health and to tackle AMR. If you are an accelerator or technology incubator centre in the East of England and want to discuss support for your companies and collaborations with Innovate UK Business Connect, please reach out.
