Janet (Jan) Antons
Knowledge Transfer Adviser

I am a Knowledge Transfer Adviser for North Lincolnshire, Hull and Humberside responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of successful Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs) between business and academia.
The Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs) connect businesses that have an innovation idea with the academic expertise to help deliver it.
I have a background as a laboratory technician, therapy radiographer and dosimetrist. After a few years working clinically I joined the business world. I have experience of marketing, sales, business development, product management, and project management roles, both in the UK and USA.
I have experience in product positioning, market entry and product launch, together with mentoring skills for businesses and aspiring public speakers.
My areas of expertise include cancer care, patient-centred approaches, medical technology, virtual reality, education, and simulation. I also have regional knowledge related to business initiatives, local economies, strategic thinking, and development.
As a Knowledge Transfer Advisor (KTA), my role is to facilitate collaboration between businesses and research institutions. This cooperation, part of the broader Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) program, is crucial for driving innovation and supporting economic growth. My role as a KTA is instrumental in fostering these connections and enabling progress.
My working days are Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
