Joshua Adedeji
Country Lead - Global Alliance Africa, Nigeria
I am involved with Place-Based Innovation (PBI) in Ekiti State, Open Innovation and other sector-level innovation engagements as part of the Global Alliance Africa programme.
My experience spans several aspects of international development, particularly entrepreneurial ecosystem building, enterprise development, youth development and sustainability. With keen interest in the small and growing business (SGB) sector, I enjoy bridging connection gaps across various sectors and ecosystem players.
Prior to joining Global Alliance Africa, I worked as the West Africa regional head for Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE) where I led the team across multiple West African countries. I also led the multi-country entrepreneurial ecosystem mapping projects in Nigeria and Ghana with support from UKAid, Citi Foundation and MasterCard Centre for Inclusive Growth. I have also worked as a advocacy consultant to CSR-in-Action, and provided support to social enterprises exploring West African markets.
I find conversations about entrepreneurial and innovation ecosystems building interesting, especially in new emerging markets and developing economies. Please get in touch to chat about Nigeria’s (and West Africa’s) Innovation Ecosystem.
