Katie Dubarry

As a Knowledge Transfer Manager with specialist expertise in livestock R&D, I work to connect businesses with the right funding and expertise to drive forward impactful innovation for the AgriFood sector.

I have a background in agriculture and livestock science, having worked in farming before moving into research 5 years ago. I hold a degree in Agriculture from SRUC, and a PhD in Genetics and Genomics from the Roslin Institute. I’m experienced in small business management, and have launched Agri-Tech & food-related startups. This gives me a combination of technical knowledge, insight into the commercial realities of innovation, and an understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing the livestock sector.

I have a wide network across the research community and can help businesses find the right collaborators, build partnerships, and access funding that support sustainable and commercially viable innovation.
