Katie Woodward

I am a Knowledge Transfer Manager in the Clean Energy and Built Environment team at Innovate UK Business Connect, supporting businesses, researchers and public-sector organisations to develop and adopt innovation across energy systems and the built environment. My work helps organisations identify opportunities for collaboration, connect with the right partners and navigate the innovation landscape, with a focus on sustainable construction, infrastructure and future building technologies.

I bring more than 10 years’ experience across the energy, water, built environment and innovation sectors, with a background in stakeholder engagement, research and communications. I am particularly interested in how cross-sector collaboration can accelerate the transition to net zero, improve resource efficiency and help emerging solutions move towards real-world impact.

Through my work on Innovation Exchange challenges and the Emergent Sustainable Built Environment Materials Innovation Network, I help organisations define innovation needs, engage solution providers and explore opportunities for collaboration. I am always interested in hearing from organisations developing innovative approaches to sustainable construction, infrastructure, energy systems and resource efficiency.
