Lily Melody

I am a member of the Materials and Manufacturing team. I support the projects of Made Smarter Innovation Network, and Resource Efficiency for Materials and Manufacturing REforMM, on the Longer in Use and Reuse and Smart Design Sprints.

My background and expertise are in Product Design, Innovation and Prototyping. I have hands on practical experience of Prototyping and Manufacturing across a range of material disciplines, including Rapid Prototyping and Biomaterials.

I am interested in working to support Businesses with cross collaboration with University’s and academia. I can enable connection through our community’s and networks, along with invitations to events where we inspire and facilitate innovation. I can help with the identification of funding opportunities to help support innovation development.

I have previously worked at University’s across the UK supporting businesses to develop new innovative products and services. I have a BSc in Product Design, where I specialised in Sustainable Design. I’m a Fellow of Higher Education Academy with a PGCert in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education.
