Stephen McComb

As a Knowledge Transfer Adviser for Northern Ireland, I cover several skills and capability development programmes across the UK for Innovate UK Business Connect.

I have a breadth of experience in managing large change programmes and projects with specialist knowledge in healthcare technology, digital and Internet of Things, gained through applying technology and process change to healthcare, government, telecoms, and logistics. I have worked in various roles in Industry, Government, Healthcare and Academia.

I also maintain relationships with a number of designated universities in relation to their participation in the Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs) programme, which aims to support businesses to engage with expert academic teams on a project-based collaboration delivering sustainable innovation with positive economic impact and additional societal or environmental benefits.

In my current role, I work across various groups to support emerging client needs. Recently, I supported opportunities linked to the UK Research and Innovation Future Leaders Fellowships and Innovation Scholars.

I have a Degree (Hons) in Business, an MSc in Computing and a PhD in the application of Lean and Technology to Healthcare. I also have Lean expert and project management qualifications.
