Opportunity for Cleantech Companies to Showcase UK Innovation at the Eighth Clean Energy Ministerial Exhibition, Beijing
From 6-8 June 2017, the People’s Republic of China will host the Second Mission Innovation Ministerial (MI-2) at the China National Convention Centre in Beijing. This annual meeting of energy Ministers and other high-level delegates from Mission Innovation members will provide an opportunity to leverage high-level political will and private-sector leadership to drive ambitious, real-world clean energy policies and actions. MI-2 will be held alongside the 8th Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM8).
As part of the event, MI-2/CEM8 will feature a major technology exhibition with companies from around the world demonstrating their clean energy technologies, products, and business models. The deadline to apply to be an exhibitor is 11 March. Details to apply to be an exhibitor are available here.
MI-2/CEM8 will also feature a new innovation theatre event to showcase potentially game changing clean energy innovations and inspirations from around the world. Modelled after ‘TED talk’ style events, the innovation theatre will feature innovators, scientists, and entrepreneurs presenting on emerging clean energy topics in front of clean energy professionals, financiers, and global and Chinese media. The deadline to apply to present is 31 March 2017. Details to apply for the innovation theatre are available here.
We encourage innovative UK cleantech companies to apply. Please do get in touch with us (Kate Robertshaw on kate.robertshaw@beis.gov.uk) if you are successful for either the exhibitor space and/or the showcase, as funding may be made available for travel and subsistence to successful entrants, depending on the number of successful companies.
