Infrastructure Industry Innovation Partnership (i3P) transforms ideas into opportunities and practical solutions for the infrastructure industry.

Infrastructure Industry Innovation Partnership (i3P) facilitates collaboration between infrastructure owner operators, their supply chain partners and the ecosystem of built environment innovators to address major challenges and accelerate innovation.

Membership is open to all those involved in innovation and infrastructure, and is open to client members (infrastructure owner operators such as ALBs and major sites), supply chain members (Tier 1 contractors and consultants) and a wider group of community members (academics, SME’s and built environment innovators).

As a primary driver for innovation in the UK infrastructure industry, i3P’s role is to transform ideas into opportunities and practical solutions, providing a mechanism for strategically directing innovation to address the major challenges facing the infrastructure industry.

By fostering a truly collaborative culture of innovation across both infrastructure clients and their supply chains, i3P creates a place where industry improvements can be identified, experience can be shared, and members can partner in projects that drive increased value across the infrastructure sector.

Our legacy and impact with the i3P programme

Established in 2016, the Infrastructure Industry Innovation Partnership (i3P) continues to be a community of client and supply chain organisations that have made a commitment to delivering collaborative projects.

Previously managed by Innovate UK Business Connect, i3P is now managed by Connected Places Catapult, the UK’s innovation accelerator for transport, the built environment, cities and local growth.
