Young Innovators Awards Winners 2022/23
The Young Innovators Awards empowers young people, aged 18 to 30, to turn their innovative idea into a reality.
The annual competition from Innovate UK supports and celebrates young entrepreneurs with groundbreaking business ideas. It’s open to innovators from any background and any UK nation or region, with the aim to encourage greater diversity in innovation and build a more inclusive system for the future.
This year, 94 Young Innovators Awards winners were selected from hundreds of applicants. The winners are tackling some of our most pressing environmental, economic and societal challenges. The range and scope of their ideas is truly impressive, including:
- Team Repair is boosting diversity in STEM with a subscription service that teaches kids how to repair electronic gadgets
- Concrete4Change is using revolutionary Net Zero technology to lock CO2 within concrete
- Paige Braille is creating an affordable multi-line display to improve braille literacy worldwide

“The level of creativity, passion, and commitment to positive change within our society and environment in this year’s Young Innovators Award winners is beyond inspiring. Knowing that Innovate UK is creating opportunities and providing support to enable these young people from a wide range of different backgrounds across all parts of the UK to grow and develop their businesses makes me very proud.
