Secure ID tech to unlock financial access
Priya Guliani is CEO of EarthID Technology Ltd, a London-based company developing a decentralised identity platform that prevents fraud and enables secure digital interactions. With over 15 years in tech, including leadership roles at Accenture, Priya’s journey to identity innovation was shaped by witnessing India’s transformative Aadhaar system and her father’s devastating experience with identity fraud.
Most fraud attacks begin through synthetic identities or impersonation, with traditional systems storing sensitive data in vulnerable central repositories. EarthID’s platform enables organisations to prevent fraud through personal ID wallets and privacy-preserving verifications. Their innovative TrustScore provides a unified evaluation of digital trustworthiness, helping the 1.1 million unbanked adults in the UK access essential services.
“In an era where technology reigns supreme, upholding the human-centric dimension is sacrosanct,” says Priya.
Her achievements include being named among Digital Leaders’ ‘Top 60 Digital Leaders 2024’ and recognition among the Top 100 Asian Women in Tech 2024. Under her leadership, EarthID has secured the Innovate UK Smart Grant and become the first identity solution globally to be independently assessed by the Government Blockchain Association.
“Being a Women in Innovation Award winner is an incredible honour and a deeply validating moment in my journey,” says Priya. “This award reinforces my commitment to fostering secure, inclusive solutions while inspiring other women to step confidently into roles where they can innovate and lead.”
“Throughout my journey as a woman, immigrant, and leader in tech, I’ve overcome numerous challenges,” Priya reflects. “Transitioning from corporate success to entrepreneurship’s uncertainty was particularly challenging. I approached each challenge as a problem to be solved. The fire in my belly – the drive to create something meaningful – kept me going.”
Her advice to aspiring women innovators? “Own your voice, trust your vision, and don’t let self-doubt silence your potential. Innovation thrives on diversity, and your unique perspective is your greatest strength.”
