Better banking outcomes for those who need them most
Sabrina Del Prete is the founder and CEO of Kore Labs, bringing over 30 years of financial markets experience to transform how banks manage their products. After holding global leadership positions at JP Morgan Chase, Barclays, and Coutts, Sabrina took an unconventional path to entrepreneurship, starting Kore Labs at age 50 with a vision to reconnect financial services with its social purpose.
Poor product management in financial services directly impacts people’s lives, with vulnerable customers often suffering the most. Kore Labs’ technology enables banks to simplify and digitise their product management, ensuring value-for-money solutions reach those who need them most. Their data-led approach helps financial firms deliver better consumer outcomes while staying true to their social mission of empowering people and businesses.
“Kore exists to reconnect the financial services industry with its mission of empowering people and businesses,” says Sabrina. “We allow firms to focus on what counts, which is to deliver the best outcomes for their clients, especially those who are most vulnerable.”
Her achievements include inclusion in the Women in FinTech Powerlist for four consecutive years, winning the 2023 EISA Entrepreneur of the Year award, and securing four Innovate UK grants. “Winning this award is an honour,” says Sabrina. “The real privilege is knowing that it could inspire other women to persevere in their aspirations.”
“The biggest barrier has been raising funds,” Sabrina reflects. “The 2% of venture funds going to women entrepreneurs represents countless missed opportunities for society. I’ve overcome this through UK Government support via SEIS, EIS schemes, and Innovate UK grants.”
Her advice to aspiring innovators? “Success is easier when it’s a team achievement. Always surround yourself with the best people you can.”
