Hydrogen Aggregated UK Logistics (HyHAUL)
Project HyHaul was a consortium working along the M4 corridor to develop a hydrogen supply chain and provide public access hydrogen refuelling infrastructure.
About the Project
HyHAUL aimed to develop a hydrogen supply chain and provide hydrogen refuelling infrastructure along the M4 corridor while laying the foundation for a UK wide network. The project planned to deploy up to 30 hydrogen fuel cell electric trucks, supported by dedicated fleet hydrogen transport systems and three refuelling stations.
Although the project made progress towards these goals, it did not achieve its planned performance targets on time and its participation in the ZEHID programme was ended in December 2025. The ZEHID programme continues to deliver strong results through its cohort of partners which are on track to deploy approximately 300 zero-emission vehicles, and over 70 infrastructure sites by spring 2026.
