Innovate UK’s Driving the Electric Revolution challenge, part of UK Research and Innovation, is investing in a portfolio of projects to further develop talent pipelines across the Power Electronics, Machines and Drives (PEMD) industry. Find out more about the funding.

The Building Talent for the Future 2 competition is designed to aid the creation and delivery of course content and materials to support skills and training across PEMD manufacturing and supply chains. It will also encourage close collaboration between industry and the training sector to identify and fill key gaps in the UK’s workforce talent and training capabilities. Hence BTFTF2 requires that projects have a clearly defined and demonstrable industrial focus.

This upcoming competition is linked to the recent PEMD Skills Hub competition, which will support the development of a central PEMD focused Skills Hub. This will provide signposting and access to existing and new training courses for learners & businesses, materials for educators, and engaging information for outreach – including courses developed through this Building Talent for the Future 2 competition.
