Developing new sustainability standards in medicines manufacturing
Join us online to learn more about the British Standards Institution (BSI), their activities within the Medicines Manufacturing sector, and the development of sustainability standards for medicines manufacturing.
About the BSI
The British Standards Institution (BSI) is the national standards body for the United Kingdom, an independent assurance body assessing and training organisations to standards, a notified body acting on behalf of regulators – including MHRA – to approval healthcare products for market access, and a consultancy arm to provide advice on implementing the standards. Leveraging these unique statuses, the BSI works with industry and stakeholders to develop consensus on key societal issues and to provide evidence of compliance for organisations within the UK and beyond.
Recently the Medicines Manufacturing sector have been working with the BSI to develop standards and independent certifications for sustainability to provide the sector with common methodologies to work towards as we move towards our goal of Net Zero by 2050.
