2017 SEHTA Healthcare Business Award Winners Announced

South East Health Technologies Alliance (SEHTA) has announced the winners of their 2017 Healthcare Business Awards.

Founded in 2005, the South East Health Technologies Alliance (SEHTA) is now one of the biggest health technology networking organisations in the country. Since its inception, it has grown to 1300 members from 20 different countries.

SEHTA is pleased to announce the winners of the 2017 Healthcare Business Awards. These companies have all been entered into the national MedilinkUK Awards taking place on 25 April at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry, which is part of the 2018 Med-Tech Innovation Expo.

Winners from the five award categories were all presented with their Awards on Tuesday 6th February, which was kindly supported by Kent Surrey Sussex Academic Health Science Network (KSS AHSN). WDr Adrian Bull, Chief Executive, East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust was the Guest Speaker.

Dr David Parry, CEO, SEHTA said; “Once again our awards have demonstrated the excellence of small health technology companies in the South East. This year was once again very competitive; it’s a primary aim of SEHTA to help such companies’ access public and private sector markets with their innovative products and services”.

Rob Berry, Head of Innovation, Kent Surrey Sussex Academic Health Science Network (KSS AHSN), said: “KSS AHSN has a key role to help companies navigate the healthcare maze, so we’re delighted to continue to support the SEHTA Healthcare Business Awards. The awards help to recognise and reward great innovative work taking place across the region and we congratulate all the winners and finalists on their success”.

The winner of this year’s Export Award went to Thor Photomedicine for their achievements in exporting their range of medical laser and LED phototherapy systems to doctors, dentists, veterinarians and therapists.

The winner of this year’s Innovation Award went to Solcom for their achievements for their innovative development of a remote monitoring software for use within healthcare, nuclear and pharmaceuticals sectors.

The winner of the Partnership with the NHS Award went to Hobbs Rehabilitation for their partnership with the NHS as an independent provider of specialist neurological rehabilitation across the South of England offering inpatient, outpatient, community and residential therapy.

The next winner was for Start-Up and this was awarded to everyLIFE Technologies for creating The PASSsystem, which is a digital care planning and monitoring solution now in use primarily within the care sector and openPASS, which is a component of The PASSsystem designed to enable family members to gain access to the care notes for complete transparency of care.

The final award of the evening went to 270Vision for Outstanding Achievement for their achievements in developing their innovative medical-grade wearable sensor and advanced body data analysis technology for the medical and professional sports sectors.
