About MLighter

Of the greater AI market, Machine Learning (ML) is the most commonly implemented and significant form- a market that, according to 360 Research Reports, is expected to reach $8.81 billion by 2025.

Machine Learning models need to be evaluated to quantify the quality of the products; however, coders and QA testers of ML systems require knowledge in different aspects of the developed systems and the used ML libraries.

MLighter is the first tool to integrate and simplify multiple testing strategies to detect blind-spots in ML. It verifies the performance, security and functionality of an ML system, ahead of cyber-attacks.

MLighter’s solution includes the tools clients need for the automatic validation of ML systems in terms of performance, security and functionality; plus a database of blind-spots and vulnerabilities; and a flexible front-end designed to allow extensions.

The MLighter Team

MLighter has been developed by a team of two experienced cyber security academics, including:

• Dr Hector Menendez, – A cyber security and software tester, ML developer and former research Associate at UCL. He is a lecturer at Middlesex University and he has been recently appointed as a lecturer at King’s College London
• Dr Mahdi Aiash – A senior Lecturer in Computer Networks and Security at Middlesex University; a computer security researcher & practitioner with industrial, academic, and research experience focused on making the Internet a safer place.

CyberASAP 2022/23

Funding for CyberASAP 2022/23 has just been confirmed for academic teams with a cyber security idea they would like to commercialise.
