TETRAMAX Entrepreneurial call
TETRAMAX, a European digital innovation hub, has launched its first open call for entrepreneurial Technology Transfer Experiments (TTX).
The call offers seed funding of up to €30k for activities in the customised, low-energy computing domain.
The call is aimed at small teams of potential entrepreneurs and will challenge and train them, exploring and evaluating typical start-up formation scenarios and the acquisition of long-term investments.
A team for the entrepreneurial TTX comprises three members with different roles:
- A principal investigator (PI) in the role of chief technology officer
- An entrepreneurial leader (EL) in the role of chief executive officer
- A mentor (M) who will be a business-focused person
The PI will be the formal applicant for the TTX and officially employed at a legal entity (typically a university); this entity will be the sole recipient of the financial support.  The EL must have both the business interest and technical competence needed to investigate the commercial potential of the proposed innovation.  Finally, the mentor must be experienced in taking research-based technologies to the market.
The team must have a convincing business plan and be willing to get investor-ready.  To find out more about the TTX call, visit the TETRAMAX calls page here.
