The Call addresses key priorities identified by the Strategic Research Agenda within different areas of research and innovation.

19 topics available

7 topics – 40M€ funding – Renewable Hydrogen Production
3 topics – 16M€ funding – Hydrogen Storage and Distribution
3 topics – 17M€ funding – Transport
1 topic – 5M€ funding – Heat and Power
3 topics – 6.5M€ funding – Cross-cutting
2 topics – 80M€ funding – Hydrogen Valleys (hydrogen ecosystems covering a specific geographical area)

A full list of all 19 topics, with descriptions and links can be found at the Horizon Europe Funding and Tenders portal. Titles are given below.

More information about the scope and details of the partnership’s activities for the year 2024 can be found in the Clean Hydrogen Partnership Annual Work Programme and the Clean Hydrogen Partnership Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA). Details of the application process and the award criteria will be presented during the Info Day 2025 on 22 January 2025 in Brussels.

Most of these calls require collaboration between three different legal entities based in three different countries, with at least one being from a Horizon Europe member state (does not include UK) and the other two being from member states or associated countries (which does include the UK). If you would like help to find a collaboration partner, contact Innovate UK Business Connect’s European team, or our Hydrogen Innovation Network team.

  • Unless otherwise provided for in the specific call conditions, only legal entities forming a consortium are eligible to participate in actions provided that the consortium includes, as beneficiaries, three legal entities independent from each other and each established in a different country as follows:

    • at least one independent legal entity established in a Member State; and
    • at least two other independent legal entities, each established in different Member States or Associated Countries.
