Mohan Ahad

I am one of the two Knowledge Transfer Advisers sharing East London, Essex and Suffolk.

The Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs) support businesses to engage with expert academic teams on a project-based collaboration delivering sustainable innovation with positive economic impact and additional societal or environmental benefits. I look after businesses supporting their projects with knowledge bases in many parts of the country, and also maintain relationships with a number of designated universities in relation to their participation in the programme.

I am a chartered engineer with over 25 years of experience in the aerospace and defence sector, where he worked with Universities, corporates, SMEs and spin-outs, from managing trials and R&D activities to supporting the supply chain.

I have an MBA from Cranfield University that focused on entrepreneurship and innovation and have helped a number of startup companies in various sectors. As a former KTP (TCS) Associate I recognise the value of the programme and want to help other associates gain the most from the support on offer. As a trustee for the Culture Trust Luton, I have also developed an understanding of the issues in the not-for-profit and creative sectors.
