Transport Systems

Transport Systems looks holistically across transport modes, infrastructure and control systems (e.g. communication, smart ticketing, remote control & supervision) as well as new business models such as Mobility-as-a-Service.

Transport Systems offer new opportunities to create improved efficiencies in the movement of people, goods and services. The future is a seamless end-to-end journey to improve people’s lives in remote, rural and urban regions addressing the needs of the individual and benefits to society.

Whether the solution is on-demand travel options, smart ticketing, digital and communication services or new business models, the key is to unlock the potential and deliver solutions to transform the UK’s transport system.

Innovate UK Business Connect’s Transport team works with government, industry, transport stakeholders and transport operators in the UK to unlock opportunities to enable seamless travel. Engaging with the team will enable new collaborations and introductions to speed up innovation in the transport sector.
